TFD – Dive into the response of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign to the assault allegation against Trent Pool, shedding light on this ongoing development.

The New York Police Department told that a senior ballot access strategist for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign was accused of assault in Manhattan last week.

Trent Pool, a consultant who works closely with the team coordinating the independent candidate’s ballot access effort, was arrested early Saturday morning last week at the Soho Grand Hotel in Manhattan and charged with assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. A New York City police spokesperson told that an unidentified 25-year-old woman said that following a verbal dispute, Pool “wrapped his hand around her neck making it hard for her to breathe and then struck her in the face with a closed fist, causing pain.” The woman declined medical attention at the scene.

Later on Saturday, according to Pool’s lawyer, he was released on bond. June is when he will appear in court for the first time. Mediaite was the first to report on the arrest.

Trent is a contractor,” said Stefanie Spear, a spokesman for the Kennedy campaign, in a statement. He claims that the incident that was reported never happened.

When Thefoxdaily contacted Pool, he sent questions to his lawyer. Gregory Esposito, Pool’s lawyer, stated in a statement to Thefoxdaily that “we look forward to demonstrating in court that Mr. Trent Pool is innocent of all charges.”

Pool has played an important role in the campaign’s ballot access strategy. He’s worked closely with Paul Rossi, the campaign’s main ballot access lawyer who has led it through legal challenges in a number of states, and ballot access director Nick Brana to shape strategy in various states, a campaign official told.

Pool’s company, Accelevate 2020, filed a federal lawsuit in Utah alongside the Kennedy campaign, requesting an extension of the state’s deadline for independent candidates to submit ballot access applications. Rossi served as Pool’s representative before joining the Kennedy campaign.

Federal campaign finance records reveal that the Kennedy campaign paid Accelevate 2020 around $390,000 for campaign consulting. Two people close to the campaign told Thefoxdaily that Pool has assisted in integrating paid petition circulators into the campaign’s volunteer-driven signature collection effort.

Public Appeal LLC was created by Pool and his brother, and Public Appeal LLC received $1.1 million this year for ballot access work from American Values 2024, a super PAC that supports Kennedy, according to public documents.

American Values 2024 has been contacted by Thefoxdaily for comment.

Conclusion

The assault allegation against Trent Pool adds a complex layer to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign, emphasizing the importance of transparency and legal resolution in such matters.
