According to Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Weatherman, the arrests happened after someone “in the last couple of months” provided law enforcement with information linking the suspects to Workman’s murder. Authorities stated that the informant was not a person of interest in this investigation.
After nearly 30 years of keeping this inside, “someone came forward and finally told us the last piece we needed to slide it all together,” according to Weatherman.
Sheriff Chris Degase of Douglas County stated on Wednesday that the three males had been under surveillance by the authorities for a while in connection with the unsolved crime.
