Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito intend to collaborate once more on a new film.

The two actors, who costarred as brothers in the 1988 film “Twins,” made a joint appearance at the Oscars, where they performed a skit in which they took on the roles of “Batman” villains.

“I’m friends with Arnold very well. We met way before ‘Twins,’ years ago,” DeVito told CNN in a recent interview. “We are currently engaged in a collaborative effort including the production of a second film. We have a great relationship.

Regarding their reunion at the Oscars, DeVito stated that they made an effort to remain silent beforehand.

“We tried to keep it a surprise as much as possible, and it’s just so much fun that they asked to do this,” he says. “We went out there and had a great time without telling anyone, and we received a great response.” They treated us with such kindness.

DeVito said the pair’s new project is currently being written.

“We’re hoping to have a nice script to go to work on sooner rather than later,” he stated.

While waiting on the script, DeVito still has other projects, like his role on “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and the recent animated film “Migration.” He’ll also do a performance of “Matilda” at the State Theater in New Brunswick, N.J., on March 22.

To begin with, I adore the film. It was one of my favorite things to create, so I mean, I always have,” he remarked. “David Newman, who wrote the score a few years ago, said, let’s do this ‘Matilda’ live thing. You take the music out of the movie and the symphony orchestra is in front of the screen.”

“I both play Wormwood and narrate the film,” DeVito clarified. “It will be an enjoyable evening. Rhea’s [Pearlman] going to come, she’s Mrs. Wormwood. Mara Wilson, who played Matilda is coming. And I dug up the jacket and I have the hat.”

DeVito claimed that because he saw “Matilda” when his children were young, the 1996 film has stuck with him.

“My son was eight or nine years old, about Matilda’s age. And dealing with the children was great. And it was a truly wonderful experience overall,” DeVito said. “I do pause and watch it every time it’s on.”

Conclusion

Danny DeVito’s journey in the entertainment industry continues, from cherished projects like Matilda to exciting collaborations ahead. His passion and dedication shine through his words and works.
