
AILET 2026 Registration Open: The National Law University (NLU) Delhi on August 7 opened the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 application window. Applicants can register at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs for the 2026–2027 academic year.
On November 10, the AILET 2026 online application will close. The date of AILET 2026 is December 14.
To take the test, candidates must choose three cities. Ahmedabad, Asansol, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, and Visakhapatnam are among the cities that will host AILET 2026. According to an official statement from NLU Delhi, if there are fewer than 100 applicants in a test location, the test center will not be established there and the candidates will be assigned to the test city of their second or third choice.
For entrance to the undergraduate (UG) program, students must receive at least 45% of the possible points on their Class 12 exam. For OBC, the minimum qualifying marks is 42 per cent and in caase of SC and ST, the minimum qualifying marks is 40 per cent. AILET 2026 will also be open to candidates who will be enrolled in Class 12 in 2026.
Candidates must hold an LLB or an equivalent law degree with 50% of the possible points in order to be eligible for the one-year non-residential LLM program. Forty-five percent would be the minimal pass rate needed for students who are SC, ST, or disabled. In the past, students in the UR category received 55% of the possible points, while those in the restricted categories received 50%.
Candidates will have to apply online by paying an application fee of Rs 3,000. Candidates who are SC/ST or PwD must pay an application fee of Rs 1000. The online application cost is waived for women and SC/ST candidates who are below the poverty line (BPL).
For admission to its Postgraduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP), which is offered as a one-year Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Laws (LLM), the two-year Joint Master’s/LLM Programme in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management, and the PhD Programme, NLU Delhi will administer the All India Entrance Test (AIET) on May 3, 2026. Online application forms for these programs will be accessible on the official website beginning January 7, 2026, and the comprehensive admission announcement for AIET 2026 will be made public in January of that year.
