
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at IIT Hyderabad, in collaboration with TCS iON, has started the registration process for an online certification programme on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Chip Design. The course costs 14,160 rupees. The deadline for registration is September 30.
According to the press release, the course was created to address the need for qualified professionals and seeks to give students the advanced capabilities and basic knowledge needed for future-ready employment. Additionally, the IIT Hyderabad program provides practical instruction in the fundamentals of digital and analog integrated circuit design. A one-week optional boot camp is also available to interested students for an extra Rs 9,440.
Qualifications
IIT Hyderabad’s VLSI Chip Design Certificate Program is intended for a wide variety of students who want to start or grow their careers in the semiconductor sector.
Since it gives them a solid foundation in digital and analog chip design, it is strongly advised for new students as well as those seeking bachelor’s or master’s degrees in electronics or related fields.
Moreover, the program will be especially helpful to junior and mid-career workers looking for faster career advancement or a pay increase.
For those interested in entrepreneurship or research in the VLSI field, the course is also a great first step.
Enrollment for the extensive 45-hour certification program will open soon, and it is scheduled to start on October 8. The programme is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of Analog Chip Design and Digital IC Design is led by IITH faculty members: Prof. Ashudeb Dutta (EE), Dr. C.H. Gajendranath Chaudhury (EE), Dr. Abhishek Kumar (EE), Dr. Rajesh Kedia (CSE) and Dr. Kapil Jainwal (EE). On November 29, the course will be finished.
Through live, interactive sessions facilitated by IIT faculty and industry professionals, the course provides more than 40 hours of experience learning. In addition to getting practical exposure with industry-leading EDA tools like Cadence and LTSpice, participants can choose to participate in a week-long bootcamp at the IIT Hyderabad campus for intensive lab instruction.
According to the official website, the program is a comprehensive launching pad for careers in the quickly expanding VLSI industry, offering mentorship, career guidance, and hands-on projects in both digital and analog chip design.
