In her most recent vlog, Farah Khan paid a visit to the Mumbai house of Dhanashree Verma, the ex-wife of actor, dancer, and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. The filmmaker gave viewers a peek into Dhanashree’s world by sharing a tour of her creative workspace. However, Farah Khan and the audience were taken aback by one of the actor’s remarks. In addition to sharing the history of the artwork she has gathered, Dhanashree described how her grandmother painted while afflicted with Parkinson’s disease during the house tour. Farah seemed delighted by the collection and declared her favorite painting to be one that showed two birds sitting together on a tree branch.
Farah’s remark prompted Dhanashree to reveal that she is manifesting love again after her much-publicised and bitter divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal. Talking about the painting, Farah said, “This is my favourite.” Dhanashree quickly responded, explaining the meaning of the artwork and said, “Love birds. I am manifesting (love).” Her candid comment surprised Farah, who commended her spirit. The Main Hoon Na director replied, “Firse (again)? Very brave of you,” while giving her a side hug.
Dhanashree has previously talked candidly with Humans of Bombay about her difficulties after the divorce and the negative effects of internet harassment on her family. In order to comfort my parents, I had to maintain my strength. As members of this generation, we are aware that unfavorable remarks should be ignored, but how would you explain that to your parents? They were called by the friends of my parents. ‘Yeh kya ho gaya?’ It was a delicate situation because I also needed strength and so did my parents.”
In a previous interview with Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree talked candidly about the difficulties she had after the divorce and the negative effects that internet harassment had on her family. “I had to maintain my strength in order to comfort my parents.” Since we’re from this generation, we know not to listen to criticism, but how would you explain it to your parents? The friends of my parents would call them. “Yeh, kya ho gaya?” The situation was tricky because both my parents and I required strength.
After their divorce court, she criticized her ex-husband for the “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” T-shirt scam and acknowledged that she “hadn’t healed completely” from the split. “Everyone is depressed, and then there’s the circus of the media,” she remarked. It requires maturity on your part. In order to avoid upsetting his or my family’s values, I opted for maturity over making juvenile remarks.
Despite getting married in 2020, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma split up in 2022. Since then, Yuzvendra and RJ Mahvash have been connected, and they frequently appear together at public gatherings.
