Day 4 box office receipts for Coolie: For Rajinikanth’s admirers, the release of a Rajinikanth movie is a veritable celebration, as they flock to theaters to see Thalaiva in action. Coolie, his most recent film, is no exception. The movie is almost at the Rs 200 crore milestone, even if its Sunday earnings saw a decline. According to Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 34 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 193.28 crore. However, Coolie has failed to break Vijay’s Leo box office record that grossed around Rs. 403 crore in its extended first weekend.
Coolie’s occupancy and box office journey
On Thursday, the Rajinikanth-starring film made Rs 65 crore at the box office to start its run. Due to a 15% drop in revenue, it made Rs 54.75 crore on Friday. Rs 39.5 crore, another 27 percent decline, came next. It saw a further 13 percent decline, minting Rs 34 crore on Sunday.
On Sunday, the film earned maximum moolah from the Tamil version of the film — Rs 22.5 crore — followed by its Telugu version — Rs 6.5 crore, Hindi version earned Rs 4.65 crore, while the Kannada version minted Rs 35 lakh. Coolie vs War 2
On August 14, Coolie debuted in theaters with War 2, starring Hrithik and Jr. NTR. The success of Hrithik’s movie, which was released in several languages, has been largely attributed to Jr. NTR’s Telugu fan base. War 2 minted Rs 31 crore on Sunday, with its total domestic collection standing at Rs 173.60 crore, which is less than Coolie’s Rs 193.28 crore. The total amount raised for War 2 is $31.52 million (Rs 276.5 crore).
Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Rachita Ram play important roles in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Coolie. Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde both make brief cameos in the movie.
