A man was found dead, stuffed in a drum on a rooftop in Rajasthan’s Khairthal Tijara district, bearing signs of a sharp weapon attack, while his family remains missing.
Hansram, also known as Suraj, was identified as the deceased. He was a native of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and he lived with his wife and three children at Adarsh Colony, Kishangarhbas. DSP Rajendra Singh Nirwan was cited by PTI as saying
After neighbors complained of a bad odor, the body—which had a cut on the throat from a sharp weapon—was discovered. Nirwan informed the news agency, “The body had been covered with salt to hasten its decomposition.”
About a month and a half ago, Hansram, who worked at a brick kiln, rented a room on the rooftop. According to authorities, the landlord’s son Jitendra, his wife Sunita, and their kids have been missing since Saturday.
“The deceased had a liquor addiction and frequently drank with Jitendra.” Jitendra and Hansram’s relatives have not been found since Saturday night, the DSP continued.
The police have started looking for the people who went missing. A case was filed and the body was submitted for a post-mortem.
The length of time the man’s body had been in the drum and the reason for his murder are still unknown, according to the police. Additionally, they are attempting to get in touch with the victim’s relatives.
A guy was allegedly murdered by his wife and her partner in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, earlier in March of this year. According to reports, they dismembered the body, put it in a drum, and buried it beneath moist cement.
After the couple’s daughter kept saying to neighbors, “Papa drum main hain,” the crime was discovered.
The body of an unnamed guy was discovered in a blue drum in the Sherpur neighborhood of Ludhiana in June, following the dramatic Meerut drum murder case.
Before being wrapped in a bedsheet and put into a plastic gunny bag that was crammed inside the drum, the man’s limbs had been tied with a rope.
Rag pickers discovered the drum in an abandoned plot, leading to the somber discovery. Police from Division Number 6 were alerted right away and arrived at the scene.
