Indian Army Chief Warns Pakistan: End State-Sponsored Terrorism or Face Severe Consequences

Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi issued a stern warning to Pakistan on Friday, declaring that the neighboring country must immediately put an end to state-sponsored terrorism if it wishes to preserve its place in history and geography. The Army Chief cautioned that India will no longer show the same restraint it exercised during Operation Sindoor 1.0 if provoked again.

Speaking at a public gathering in Rajasthan, General Dwivedi emphasized: Pakistan must put an end to state-sponsored terrorism if it hopes to preserve its position in international history and geography. We will not exercise the same restraint as we did during Operation Sindoor 1.0 and will take stronger action if provoked again.

He further warned, It is possible that we will strike so hard that Pakistan will be forced to rethink whether it wants a place in history and geography or not.

Background: Operation Sindoor 1.0

The Army Chief’s strong statement comes in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, which killed 26 civilians. In response, the Indian Armed Forces launched precision strikes under Operation Sindoor on May 7, destroying nine terror launchpads and killing more than 100 terrorists in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and inside Pakistan’s mainland.

Pakistan retaliated with drone and missile attacks on India’s military and civilian areas in the following days. However, the Indian Army successfully thwarted these strikes, ensuring no major damage was done to critical infrastructure or residential zones.

General Dwivedi’s Message to Indian Soldiers

Calling upon Indian soldiers to remain vigilant, General Dwivedi said: Please be fully prepared. God willing, you will get another opportunity very soon. All the best. Jai Hind.

Following the intense military exchanges, Pakistan’s Director General of military operations (DGMO) contacted his Indian counterpart on May 10, requesting a ceasefire. India agreed, effectively bringing the hostilities to an end. India has since clarified that no foreign country mediated the truce, dismissing US President Donald Trump’s claims of brokering peace between the two nations.

PM Modi’s Warning on Pakistan

General Dwivedi’s sharp remarks hold greater significance as they align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement warning Pakistan that Operation Sindoor remains active. Modi emphasized that any further provocation would be met with an even more forceful Indian response.

Indian Air Force Chief Reveals Pakistan’s Losses

General Dwivedi’s comments came just hours after Air Force Chief AP Singh made a startling revelation at the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations. He disclosed that between 8 to 10 Pakistani fighter jets—including Chinese-made JF-17s and US-manufactured F-16s—were destroyed during the May clashes.

Dismissing Pakistani claims that Indian aircraft had been downed, Singh described them as manohar kahaniyan (fascinating tales). He further hailed the IAF’s 300-kilometer strike inside Pakistani territory as the longest kill ever accomplished by the Indian Air Force, marking it as the highlight of the year.

The Air Force Chief’s disclosure directly contradicts Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s claim at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) that seven Indian jets were shot down during the conflict.
