sharply, claiming that the generation was adamantly opposed to dynasty politics.
The slugfest began when Gandhi, who had just been accused of voter fraud for the second time, urged the nation’s students and Gen Z, or people born in the early 2000s, to defend democracy and promised to support them in their battle against “vote theft.”
“The nation’s youth, students, and Gen Z will defend democracy, prevent vote theft, and save the Constitution.” “I will always support them,” Gandhi wrote on Twitter.
The post was made just hours after the Congress MP gave a shocking press briefing on Thursday, during which he claimed that votes in Maharashtra and Karnataka had been illegally added and deleted using centralized software. The accusations have been dismissed as “baseless” by the Election Commission.
Gandhi’s use of Gen Z in the post at the right moment is very important. The KP Sharma Oli-led government was overthrown a few days ago when Gen Z in Nepal staged a violent protest against long-standing corruption and tyranny.
Gandhi’s reference to Generation Z in the post is a pivotal moment. Only a few days ago, the KP Sharma Oli-led government was overthrown by Gen Z’s violent protest against long-standing corruption and authoritarianism in Nepal.
Nearly all ministers’ homes were looted and burned during the unrest, which claimed over 50 lives. Social media was inundated with images of major figures being thrashed in the streets, and even the Parliament was devastated.
Given the events and Gandhi’s post’s timeliness, the BJP charged that the Congress was trying to create a Nepal-like situation in India.
The phrase “get ready to leave the country”
Leading the charge was BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, a fervent opponent of Gandhi, who emphasized that Gen Z in India was opposed to ideological ambiguity, corruption, and family politics.
“Gen Z opposes dynastic rule. Following Nehru, Indira, Rajiv, and Sonia, why would they put up with Rahul? Why won’t they expel you since they oppose corruption? Dubey posted a tweet.
Gandhi was forewarned by Dubey that if the ire of Generation Z flared, the Congress MP should get ready to leave the nation.
“They desire a Hindu state in Nepal and an Islamic state in Bangladesh. Why do they refuse to convert India to Hinduism? They’re coming, so get ready to flee the nation,” Dubey warned.
Anurag Thakur, a BJP MP and former Union minister, charged Gandhi on Thursday with trying to make India more like Bangladesh and Nepal. Similar to Nepal, student-led protests overthrew the Sheikh Hasina-led administration in Bangladesh last year.
“While the Election Commission is functioning without bias, Rahul Gandhi is busy weakening democracy, misleading citizens, and trying to create a situation like Bangladesh and Nepal,” Thakur stated.
