A tragic Road Accident in Uttar Pradesh has claimed the life of a 20-year-old Tanzanian student who was on a weekend outing with friends. The incident occurred in the Saharanpur district, highlighting ongoing concerns around road safety, especially for young riders traveling long distances.
The fatal crash took place on Saturday on the busy Dehradun–Yamunagar highway, a route frequently used by tourists and weekend travelers heading towards Uttarakhand.
The deceased has been identified as Kamaal, a Tanzanian national and a student of Sharda University, a well-known private university located in Greater Noida, officials confirmed.
According to police sources, Kamaal was traveling with a group of friends, all of whom are Students at Sharda University. The group had planned a picnic in Uttarakhand and were riding on separate motorcycles as part of their weekend trip.
The accident occurred when Kamaal’s motorcycle reportedly went out of control at high speed. The two-wheeler rammed into a road divider, causing him to be thrown onto the roadway with significant force.
Due to the impact of the collision, Kamaal sustained critical injuries. He was immediately rushed to a nearby community health centre (CHC) by locals and his companions.
However, doctors at the health facility declared him dead on arrival, Saharanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Vyom Bindal said while confirming the details of the incident.
Following the incident, the body was sent for post-mortem examination as part of standard legal procedure. Preliminary investigations suggest there was no foul play involved in the accident.
Police officials stated that Kamaal’s family has been informed about the tragic loss, and the university administration has also been notified. Necessary legal formalities have been completed, and further investigation is underway to document the circumstances surrounding the crash.
