On Thursday, September 4, the British technology company Dyson introduced 11 new items in a variety of categories, including personal care, air purification, and household cleaning. At a global launch ceremony in Berlin, Germany, founder James Dyson drove up to the company’s Demo Store in a vintage Min to unveil the newest line of products.

One of the event’s primary attractions was the introduction of the Dyson PencilVac, which is billed as the slimmest vacuum cleaner in the world, measuring only 38 mm in diameter. With its twin laser-like green light, app connectivity, hygienic syringe bin ejection system, and innovative conical brush-base head that can self-remove hair and debris, the PencilVac is powered by Dyson’s new, compact Hyperdymium 140k motor.

“We are particularly interested in drastically increasing performance while making things lighter and smaller. SIR James Dyson stated, “I have long wanted to create a vacuum with a diameter of only 38mm, which is the ideal diameter to hold and the same as our latest hair dryer, the Supersonic r, and our other hair tools.”

The British inventor added that the company needed to create its tiniest and most potent motor for the PencilVac. “A motor can be made smaller, lighter, more efficient, and with less materials if it is faster. With a diameter of just 28 mm, our revolutionary Hyperdymium motor can spin at 140,000 RPM.

Additionally, he unveiled the V8 Cyclone cordless vacuum, an improvement over the 2016 model. It can run for up to 60 minutes and has 30% higher suction force. On the other hand, the Dyson V16 Piston Animal promises whole-home cleaning with 315 air watts of suction, anti-tangle brush bars, a 30-day dust bin capacity, and a wet-roller head for washing floor.

Other new products include the Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot vacuum with AI stain and obstacle detection, the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene filter-free wet and dry cleaner, and the Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact, a smaller, quieter purifier that performs 80% as well as the flagship Big+Quiet purifier.

Additionally, Dyson has upgraded its line of personal care products. The business unveiled the Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler, which is driven by a new high-performance motor, and the Supersonic r hair dryer, which is both lighter and more powerful than its predecessors.

The Omega Nourishing Range, Dyson’s first hair care line made with omega-rich oils sourced from the company’s own farms in Lincolnshire, UK, was another noteworthy announcement.

Through design, technology, and cutting-edge research, we have reimagined product formats over the years. We have been able to drastically alter the format while still producing high-performing items by developing new technologies in motors, heaters, separation systems, and aerodynamics,” Dyson stated.

India‘s launch dates will be announced later, but the new products will be released worldwide.
