Samsung has officially confirmed that it will showcase its next-generation monitor lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, one of the world’s largest and most influential technology trade exhibitions. CES 2026 is scheduled to begin on January 7, and Samsung’s announcements suggest a strong focus on immersive visuals, ultra-high resolutions, and extreme refresh rates aimed at gamers, creators, and professionals alike.

Headlining the 2026 lineup is the 6K 3D Odyssey G9, a premium monitor that combines ultra-high 6K resolution with glasses-free 3D display technology. Alongside it, Samsung will also unveil the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey G6, Odyssey G8, and Odyssey OLED G8. These displays are designed to push the limits of modern gaming and content creation, offering refresh rates of up to 240Hz and beyond, expansive screen sizes, and advanced gaming-oriented features.

With this lineup, Samsung aims to reinforce its dominance in the high-end monitor market by catering to esports professionals, AAA gamers, and users demanding cinematic-quality visuals on desktop displays.

Samsung Monitors at CES 2026

In an official press release, Samsung detailed the core features and technological upgrades coming to its 2026 monitor range. The company highlighted that its new displays are built around three major pillars: immersion, performance, and versatility.

One of the most notable announcements is the 2026 Odyssey 3D, which Samsung says brings significant improvements over the 2025 iteration. The monitor is equipped with a 32-inch IPS OLED panel offering a sharp 6K resolution and a base refresh rate of 165Hz. Using Samsung’s proprietary Dual Mode feature, the refresh rate can be boosted to an impressive 330Hz, catering to competitive gamers who prioritize smooth motion and low latency.

A key highlight of the Odyssey 3D is its ability to display 3D content without the need for glasses. Samsung claims that the monitor uses advanced eye-tracking and light-field display technologies to deliver a convincing depth effect. Additionally, the company states that supported software can convert standard 2D content into immersive 3D visuals, potentially expanding the appeal of the display beyond gaming into entertainment and creative workflows.

Samsung is also expanding its high-refresh-rate offerings with the 27-inch Odyssey G6. This model is said to support refresh rates of up to an astonishing 1,040Hz using Dual Mode. At its native resolution, the monitor supports QHD output at up to 600Hz, positioning it as one of the fastest gaming monitors ever announced.

The Odyssey G6 is compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, technologies designed to reduce screen tearing, stuttering, and input lag. These features make it particularly appealing for competitive esports players who demand ultra-smooth gameplay and precise responsiveness.

At CES 2026, Samsung will also debut an expanded Odyssey G8 lineup, starting with the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS). This display is capable of delivering 6K resolution at 165Hz, and like the Odyssey 3D, it can switch to 3K resolution at up to 330Hz using Dual Mode, offering flexibility for both visual fidelity and high-speed gaming.

Another addition is the 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF), which features a 5K resolution panel with native refresh rates of up to 180Hz. With Dual Mode enabled, the display can boost performance to 360Hz in QHD resolution, making it suitable for users who balance productivity and gaming.

Rounding out the lineup is the premium 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH). This model features a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, delivering deep blacks, vibrant colors, and fast response times. Samsung claims a peak brightness of 300 nits, along with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and support for DisplayPort 2.1, ensuring compatibility with next-generation GPUs.

Samsung has confirmed that all three Odyssey G8 models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync, further enhancing visual smoothness across a wide range of gaming setups.

The company stated that its entire 2026 monitor portfolio will be on display throughout CES 2026, running from January 6 to January 9. With innovations such as glasses-free 3D, ultra-high refresh rates, and 6K resolution panels, Samsung’s latest offerings signal a major leap forward in display technology for the coming year.
