samsung remains the only major smartphone manufacturer yet to release its 2026 flagship lineup. While apple, OnePlus, Vivo, and other brands have already launched their new premium devices, rumors suggest that Samsung will soon unveil its Galaxy S26 series. Reports over the past weeks have provided insights into the S26’s design, display, performance, battery life, and cameras, along with early leaks for the Galaxy S27 series expected next year.

Leaked Launch Date for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series

According to tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is slated for launch on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, USA. This aligns with previous reports and is believed to emphasize Samsung’s focus on AI-powered features, as San Francisco is a hub for AI startups.

The devices may not be available for consumers until early March, with tipster @Evleaks confirming the timeline. Traditionally, Samsung releases its S series in January, but this year the launch may have been delayed due to the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge variant.

Design and Display of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series

Leaked photos indicate subtle design refinements for the S26 lineup. All models are expected to feature a single camera module reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may also offer new color options, softer corners, and possibly a rounded S Pen, marking the first significant camera module redesign since the S22 series.

Display sizes and specifications are reported as follows:

Model Screen Size Display Type Special Features
Galaxy S26 6.2-inch QHD OLED
Galaxy S26 Plus 6.9-inch OLED
Galaxy S26 Ultra 6.9-inch Samsung M14 QHD OLED Privacy Screen

Performance and Battery Life

Samsung is reportedly using a dual-chipset strategy for the S26 series. Some regions will receive the Exynos 2600 SoC, the first smartphone processor made with 2nm technology, while others will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. AI features are expected to be integrated across all models.

Battery specifications are expected as follows:

Model Battery Capacity Wired Charging Wireless Charging
Galaxy S26 4,300mAh Qi2 (MagSafe Compatible)
Galaxy S26 Plus 4,900mAh Qi2 (MagSafe Compatible)
Galaxy S26 Ultra 5,000mAh 60W Qi2 (MagSafe Compatible)

Cameras

Modest upgrades are expected in the S26 cameras. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely retain a quad-camera setup but with improved image processing and reduced lens flare. Rumored camera specifications are:

Model Main Ultrawide Telephoto 3x Telephoto 5x
Galaxy S26 Ultra 200MP 50MP 12MP 50MP
Galaxy S26 / S26 Plus 50MP 12MP 12MP

Expected Pricing

Samsung is expected to maintain similar pricing to the Galaxy S25 series. Estimated prices in India are:

Model Expected Price (INR)
Galaxy S26 Rs 80,999
Galaxy S26 Plus Rs 99,999
Galaxy S26 Ultra Rs 1,29,999

Early Rumors About the Samsung Galaxy S27

Even before the Galaxy S26 launch, leaks about the Galaxy S27 have emerged. Tipster Ice Universe suggests that the Galaxy S27 Ultra may feature major camera upgrades, including new primary, ultrawide, and selfie cameras. However, these details are preliminary and may change ahead of the 2027 launch.
