Epstein Files Trigger Fresh Claims Alleging Foreign Influence Over Trump Administration

A newly surfaced document within the latest tranche of files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has reignited controversy in Washington, with an FBI report citing a “credible” confidential human source (CHS) making a series of unverified allegations involving former US President Donald Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and alleged foreign influence.

The document, which forms part of a much larger release of Epstein-related materials, claims that Trump was “compromised by Israel,” according to the unnamed source. It is important to note that these allegations are not supported by publicly verified evidence and do not constitute formal findings or charges.

Claims Involving Jared Kushner’s Influence

The same FBI memo alleges that Jared Kushner, who served as a senior adviser during Trump’s first term, exercised outsized influence over both Trump’s business operations and presidential decision-making. The source claimed Kushner effectively managed key aspects of Trump’s organisation and political strategy.

According to the document, the CHS linked Kushner’s family background to what it described as ultra-Zionist networks, corruption, and alleged Russian financial flows. The report references Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, who was convicted on financial charges in the mid-2000s and later pardoned by President Trump in 2020 — a fact already part of the public record.

The CHS further alleged that Kushner failed to fully disclose holdings connected to Russian state-affiliated entities and questioned whether Russian capital may have been routed into US real estate projects through intermediaries. Kushner’s real estate investment platform, Cadre, was cited in the memo as an area of concern, though no formal wrongdoing has been established.

Real Estate Deals and Financial “Red Flags”

The FBI document also revisits earlier reporting on Donald Trump’s real estate transactions, including a widely discussed Beverly Hills mansion deal. In that transaction, Trump reportedly purchased the property for approximately USD 41 million and later sold it for around USD 95 million to a shell company linked to foreign interests.

The CHS described the deal as containing “oddities and red flags,” framing it as part of what the source characterized as a broader pattern of opaque financial dealings. However, the report does not state that the transaction violated US law, nor does it present findings from a completed investigation.

Mentions of Alan Dershowitz and Intelligence Allegations

The document also names Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, who previously represented Jeffrey Epstein. According to the CHS, Dershowitz was allegedly “co-opted by Mossad,” Israel’s intelligence agency — a claim that remains unsubstantiated and strongly denied by Dershowitz in the past.

The source further claimed that Epstein himself was widely believed within certain circles to have been leveraged due to his access to global financial and political elites. These claims echo long-standing conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s network, none of which have been conclusively proven.

Scale of the Epstein Document Release

The US Department of Justice has confirmed that it has released a massive archive related to the Epstein investigation, including approximately 180,000 photographs, more than 2,000 videos, and over three million pages of documents.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the release followed an extensive internal review process. Officials have cautioned that many documents include raw leads, informant claims, and investigative material that were never tested in court.

Trump, Epstein, and Unresolved Questions

Donald Trump has never been charged in connection with Epstein’s crimes. While Trump socialized with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, he has consistently stated that he severed ties long before Epstein’s arrest and that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities.

Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges. His death was officially ruled a suicide, though it fueled years of speculation and conspiracy theories — some of which Trump himself referenced during the 2024 presidential campaign.

As more Epstein-related documents become public, experts caution against drawing definitive conclusions from unverified intelligence reports, emphasizing the need for corroboration, context, and judicial findings before treating allegations as established facts.
