According to recently made public records from Jeffrey Epstein‘s estate, the convicted sex offender continued to communicate with powerful business and political people, such as Steve Bannon, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk, years after entering into a plea agreement in 2007 that obliged him to register as a sex offender.

Daily schedules, flight logs, financial ledgers, and phone message records covering almost three decades were among the documents, which were given to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and made public in part by its Democratic members. The most recent batch of documents had 8,544 documents in total.

One of them seemed to be a rough plan for Musk’s December 6, 2014, travel to Epstein’s island in the US Virgin Islands. “Is this still happening?” was written in hand and put on the schedule. Other records listed a planned lunch with tech billionaire Peter Thiel in late 2017, and a breakfast with former Trump strategist Steve Bannon in February 2019 — just months before Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges.

The documents also included detailed flight logs that documented visits made by Epstein, Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell, and others between New Jersey and Florida as early as 2000, as well as ledgers that showed payments for “massages” associated with Prince Andrew. Epstein’s relationships with Andrew and bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, had already come under intense Investigation.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking minors in connection with Epstein’s crimes.

Committee Democrats said the files underscore how Epstein continued to cultivate relationships with some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men long after his controversial plea deal.

“Every American should understand that Jeffrey Epstein had friendships with some of the most influential and wealthy men in the world,” said Sara Guerrero, a spokesman for Oversight. “As we strive to bring justice for the survivors and victims, every new document produced offers new information.”

Republicans on the panel accused Democrats of being politically motivated for their unilateral release of the information. Democrats are allegedly “cherry-picking documents” and excluding files that mention Democratic officials, according to a GOP spokesperson.

The committee emphasized that many papers are still heavily classified to protect victims and that its assessment is still ongoing. We anticipate more disclosures in the upcoming weeks.

While awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking accusations, Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy banker and socialite, committed suicide in 2019. He had a friendly relationship with Donald Trump in the 1990s and early 2000s; in 2002, Trump told New York magazine, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years.” Fantastic man.
