Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has swiftly pointed fingers at India following the Islamabad suicide blast that claimed 12 lives near a local court. Sharif also alleged India’s involvement in the recent attack on a cadet college in Wana, located near the Afghanistan border.
According to the government-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Sharif accused “Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies” of being responsible for the twin attacks. “These assaults represent the continuation of India’s state-sponsored terrorism aimed at destabilizing Pakistan,” Sharif declared on Tuesday, as quoted by APP.
For decades, Pakistan has been known as the epicenter of terrorism in South Asia. The country has long been accused of nurturing and exporting extremist groups, which have now turned against their own state — a monster of its own making. Despite this, Islamabad continues to deflect responsibility and blame India for its internal crises.
In recent years, Pakistani authorities have started labeling the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “India’s puppet,” attempting to associate the militant group’s attacks with New Delhi and the Taliban government in Kabul. In a further attempt to link India, Pakistan has even described the TTP as “Fitna Al Hindustan.”
As per the APP report, Sharif alleged that while “Indian-backed militants” carried out the bombing in Islamabad, the same network, operating from Afghan territory, also attacked innocent children at the cadet academy in Wana. “No condemnation is enough for these heinous attacks being launched from Afghan soil under Indian patronage,” Sharif asserted.
