Devastating floods have flooded homes, farms, and villages in Punjab, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes. An endearing video of a man carrying a flask through waist-deep floodwaters to give tea to relief workers providing aid to afflicted areas has gone viral online during the crisis.

Harbhajan Singh, a Cricket player and Rajya Sabha MP, posted the video and referred to it as evidence of Punjab’s unwavering spirit. He shared the video on X and said, “The flood-affected family, who had lost nearly everything, made tea and served it to the volunteers in exchange when they went to deliver relief materials.” That’s Punjabi culture.
