Brittany Mahomes Shares Toy Story Halloween Family Costumes

Patrick Mahomes may be preparing for a crucial NFL matchup against the Denver Broncos, but his family made sure Halloween celebrations went ahead without him. While the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback travelled to Denver with his teammates ahead of Sunday’s game, his wife, Brittany Mahomes, enjoyed the festive occasion with their three children, Sterling, Bronze and Golden, in a collection of Toy Story-themed costumes.

Brittany shared glimpses of the family’s Halloween celebrations on Instagram, showing off the creative outfits inspired by the popular animated movie franchise. The photos gave fans a look at how the Mahomes family marked the occasion while Patrick was away preparing for the Chiefs’ road game.

The family’s costumes included several familiar Toy Story characters. Brittany dressed as Bo Peep, their daughter Sterling wore a Barbie-inspired outfit, Bronze appeared as Woody, and their youngest child, Golden, was dressed as one of the film’s little green aliens.

However, there was one change to the original costume plan. Bronze was initially expected to dress as Buzz Lightyear, but he decided to wear something different. Brittany revealed the unexpected switch while sharing the family’s Halloween picture.

“Bronze was supposed to be Buzz tonight but I wasn’t arguing,” Brittany Mahomes wrote.

The lighthearted comment offered a glimpse into the family’s Halloween preparations and showed that the children had a say in how they wanted to celebrate. Although Patrick missed the main trick-or-treating festivities because of his NFL commitments, he had already joined his family for an earlier costume photoshoot.

Brittany Mahomes Shares Toy Story Halloween Costumes

On Saturday night, Brittany posted an Instagram Story featuring herself and the three children in their Halloween outfits. The Toy Story theme brought together characters from the animated franchise, with each family member choosing a recognisable look.

Brittany’s Bo Peep costume added a classic Toy Story character to the family theme. Sterling’s Barbie-inspired outfit offered a different look, while Bronze dressed as Woody, the cowboy character who is one of the franchise’s central figures. Golden completed the group as a green alien from the fictional Pizza Planet universe.

The costumes made for a coordinated family celebration, even though Patrick was not present for the Saturday night festivities. His absence was linked to the Chiefs’ travel schedule, as the team had headed to Denver ahead of its matchup against the Broncos.

Brittany’s post also highlighted a familiar part of family Halloween celebrations: plans do not always go exactly as expected. Bronze had originally been assigned the Buzz Lightyear costume, which would have paired him with Woody. However, he chose not to wear it, and Brittany decided not to turn the costume change into an argument.

Her response added a humorous moment to the Instagram Story and showed the relaxed atmosphere surrounding the family’s celebrations.

Patrick Mahomes Joined the Family for an Earlier Halloween Photoshoot

Although Patrick could not participate in the main Halloween festivities on Saturday night, he had already taken part in an earlier family costume session. Brittany shared several photographs from the day before the quarterback left for the Chiefs’ road trip.

In those pictures, Patrick wore a Buzz Lightyear costume, while Brittany dressed as Jessie. The couple posed alongside Sterling, Bronze and Golden on the front porch of their home, which had been decorated for the autumn season with an arrangement of pumpkins.

The earlier photoshoot meant Patrick was included in the family’s Toy Story-inspired Halloween plans before travelling with Kansas City. His Buzz Lightyear outfit also connected with Bronze’s original costume choice, although the youngster ultimately decided to wear Woody for the later celebration.

The family photographs offered a different look at the Mahomes household away from the football field. While Patrick’s professional schedule often places him in the spotlight during the NFL season, Brittany’s social media posts regularly give followers glimpses of their family activities and special occasions.

Halloween was another opportunity for the couple to celebrate with their children, even with the demands of the football calendar shaping their plans.

Patrick Mahomes Travels to Denver for Chiefs-Broncos Matchup

Patrick’s absence from Saturday night’s Halloween celebrations came as the Kansas City Chiefs travelled to Denver ahead of their divisional matchup against the Broncos. The game was scheduled for Sunday afternoon, making it an important road assignment for the quarterback and his teammates.

The Chiefs entered the contest looking to respond after suffering a 20-3 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks in their previous game. The loss gave Kansas City an immediate reason to focus on improving its performance, with the matchup against Denver providing the next opportunity to get back on track.

Playing the Broncos on the road also meant facing a divisional opponent. Games between teams from the same division can carry additional importance because the results contribute directly to their standings and can influence the race for postseason positioning.

For Mahomes, the immediate priority was preparing for the challenge at hand. His responsibilities as the Chiefs’ starting quarterback required him to travel with the team and concentrate on Sunday’s game rather than remain at home for the full Halloween celebration.

While Brittany and the children enjoyed their themed costumes, Patrick was focused on helping Kansas City respond to its recent loss.

Brittany Mahomes Previously Shared Chiefs Game-Day Moments With Children

Brittany has also offered fans glimpses of the family’s support for Patrick during the NFL season. A few weeks before the Halloween celebrations, she shared photographs and videos from a Kansas City Chiefs game-day experience alongside Sterling, Bronze and Golden.

The family’s visit began with a trip to the sidelines, where Brittany and the children watched the players during their pregame warmups. They also had an opportunity to meet Patrick before the game, giving the children time with their father as he prepared for his professional commitments.

After spending time near the field, Brittany shared a look at the family’s view from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The photographs showed another side of the game-day experience, with the Mahomes family supporting the quarterback from inside the stadium.

Brittany expressed her happiness about the experience in a short Instagram caption.

“The best times🥹❤️,” Brittany Mahomes wrote.

The post reflected the family’s enthusiasm for attending Chiefs games and supporting Patrick during the season. Their presence at Arrowhead Stadium has provided several memorable moments for fans who follow the quarterback both on and off the field.

Family Life and Football Commitments During the NFL Season

The Halloween celebrations highlighted how professional football commitments can affect family occasions during the NFL season. With the Chiefs travelling for an away game, Patrick was unable to spend the entire evening with Brittany and their children.

However, the earlier costume photographs ensured that he was part of the family’s Halloween preparations. Patrick’s Buzz Lightyear outfit and Brittany’s Jessie costume also gave the family a complete Toy Story-inspired look before the team departed for Denver.

For Brittany, sharing the pictures provided an opportunity to document a special moment with Sterling, Bronze and Golden. Her Instagram updates regularly give followers a glimpse into the family’s celebrations, outings and support for the Chiefs.

The latest Halloween post combined those family moments with a humorous detail about Bronze changing his costume plans. Rather than wearing Buzz Lightyear as originally intended, he chose Woody, leaving Brittany to share the story with her followers.

Chiefs Look to Respond Against the Broncos

While the Mahomes family enjoyed Halloween, attention also turned towards Kansas City’s matchup against Denver. The Chiefs were coming off a 20-3 defeat to Seattle and were hoping to produce a stronger performance against their divisional rivals.

The result against the Seahawks made the Broncos game an important opportunity for Kansas City to regain momentum. Mahomes and the Chiefs would need to execute effectively on the road as they looked to put the previous loss behind them.

For Patrick, the weekend therefore involved two different priorities: joining his family for an earlier Halloween celebration and preparing for a demanding NFL contest. Brittany’s posts showed that he had been part of the costume preparations before leaving, even though he missed the main Saturday night festivities.

With Brittany, Sterling, Bronze and Golden celebrating in their Toy Story outfits, the Mahomes family still managed to enjoy Halloween together in their own way. Patrick’s absence from the later celebrations was a reminder of the schedule professional athletes must follow during the season, while the earlier photographs captured a family moment before football took him to Denver.
