Taylor Hall Celebrates Stanley Cup Win After Finally Getting His Boating License

Taylor Hall is celebrating more than just his first Stanley Cup victory. The Carolina Hurricanes forward recently revealed that he has finally obtained his boater’s license, adding another personal milestone to an unforgettable year.

Hall shared a photo on X showing himself steering a boat with the Stanley Cup nearby. The celebration took place at Muskoka, Ontario, on Thursday, combining his long-awaited boating achievement with the biggest accomplishment of his NHL career.

According to @discovermuskoka on Instagram, Hall’s day began with a meet-and-greet involving hundreds of local children in Bracebridge. He later took to the water, steering the Wenonah II across Lake Muskoka while celebrating his Stanley Cup triumph.

The boating moment was particularly meaningful because Hall had previously joked about himself after failing to obtain his boating license in 2011. More than a decade later, the NHL veteran has finally checked that box off his list.

Hall Played a Key Role in Hurricanes’ Stanley Cup Triumph

Hall was an important contributor to Carolina’s championship-winning 2025-26 NHL campaign. He appeared in all 80 regular-season games, finishing with 48 points from 18 goals and 30 assists.

His production continued during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Hall recorded 19 points in 19 games, scoring seven goals and adding 12 assists as the Hurricanes completed their championship run.

Stanley Cup Came After 16 Seasons

Hall’s Stanley Cup triumph was especially significant because it arrived after 16 NHL seasons and stops with seven different teams. The veteran forward had waited years for the opportunity to lift hockey’s biggest prize.

After Carolina defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final, Hall admitted that he was overwhelmed by the achievement.

“I’m speechless. I’m tired and I’m speechless… It has been a journey, but that’s life and that’s the beautiful part of it,” Hall said after the victory.

Hall also expressed gratitude for joining the Hurricanes and emphasized how proud he was to contribute to the team’s championship success.

Now, with a Stanley Cup and a boating license secured in the same memorable year, Hall has plenty of reasons to enjoy the offseason on the waters of Muskoka.
