“I just don’t understand where the trust issue came up from because last I knew, we were never friends on Splitsvilla. Even after the merger, we were very civil and cordial. It was never a true friendship. So I did not understand where that stemmed from,” she said.

Kaira’s comments suggest that she viewed their relationship as cordial rather than deeply personal. From her perspective, the absence of a close friendship made Niharika’s concerns about trust difficult to understand.

She also recalled what she described as a change in Niharika’s behaviour after their previous show aired. Kaira claimed that Niharika had approached her to establish a friendship before later making negative remarks about her online.

“Also, after the show aired, she was the one who came to meet me, extended a hand of friendship. And then again, she went on the internet and spoke ill about me. So the trust issues should actually be my issue,” Kaira said.

The remarks reveal an unresolved disagreement between the two contestants over how their relationship developed and who had reason to feel betrayed. Kaira’s defence presented Priyanka’s behaviour as an expression of personal loyalty. She suggested that some contestants may have interpreted Priyanka’s support for particular people as a strategic move, even though Kaira believed her actions were driven by genuine feelings.
