Jacob Fatu has jokingly revealed one of the unexpected consequences of being part of The Bloodline, admitting that constantly being around Jey Uso has influenced his behavior.

Fatu appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon podcast, where he discussed his family, his WWE journey and his experiences as a member of The Bloodline.

Jacob Fatu blames Jey Uso for his YEET habit

During one segment of the podcast, Fatu thanked his wife, Elizabeth, for putting up with him before ending the moment with a loud “YEET.”

The Samoan Werewolf then joked that his habit of saying YEET was a direct consequence of spending so much time around Jey Uso.

“I don’t know why I keep going YEET. I’ve been hanging around with Jey Uso, see what happens? You get in The Bloodline, you’ll start doing this bullc**p right here, dude,” said Jacob Fatu.

Jey Uso’s association with the word has become one of the most recognizable parts of his WWE persona, and Fatu appears to have picked up the habit during his time around the faction.

Jacob Fatu’s complicated position in The Bloodline

Fatu became part of The Bloodline after losing to Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy last May. Following the defeat, he was forced to acknowledge Reigns as the Tribal Chief and fall in line with the family faction.

Although Fatu has established himself as one of the group’s most physically imposing members, his relationship with other members has remained complicated.

The tension became particularly noticeable during a recent episode of Monday Night RAW involving Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.

Solo Sikoa turns against Roman Reigns

Solo Sikoa recently appeared to distance himself from Roman Reigns before delivering a Samoan Spike to the former Tribal Chief.

The attack placed Jacob Fatu in an uncomfortable position. Fatu did attack Solo during the confrontation, but he appeared conflicted and ultimately did not fully commit to helping either side as the situation unfolded.

His reaction suggested that the ongoing family conflict could create further complications for The Bloodline moving forward.

Triple H changed Jacob Fatu’s WWE debut plans

Fatu also revealed an interesting detail about his WWE debut during his appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast.

According to the WWE Superstar, producer Michael Hayes initially wanted him to wear a ski mask during rehearsals for his debut on the June 21, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The idea was reportedly intended to keep Fatu’s identity hidden and build anticipation around his arrival.

“At the debut, I had on a ski mask, you know, trying to kayfabe. Michael Hayes had me in the ski mask during rehearsals. And your husband was like, ‘Jacob, you could take that off,'” he said.

Fatu subsequently informed Triple H about the plan, and WWE’s Chief Content Officer decided against the ski-mask concept. Instead, Triple H wanted Fatu’s face visible from the beginning.

Triple H’s decision helped establish Jacob Fatu

The decision to reveal Fatu’s face immediately helped WWE present him as an intimidating new force rather than hiding his identity behind a mask.

Fatu quickly made an impression with his explosive style, physical intensity and distinctive presence. His arrival added another dangerous member to The Bloodline and established him as an important part of WWE’s Samoan wrestling dynasty.

With tensions continuing to develop within The Bloodline, Fatu’s loyalty could become increasingly important. At the same time, his growing connection with Jey Uso has produced one unexpected side effect: the Samoan Werewolf apparently cannot stop saying “YEET.”
