Lainey Reid has shared her honest thoughts on the differences between the WWE main roster and NXT locker room, suggesting that the environment changes significantly once wrestlers move to the bigger stage.

Lainey Reid Talks About NXT Locker Room Culture

Reid, who is part of Fatal Influence and currently holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, explained that her experience in NXT was more team-oriented. According to her, wrestlers competed against one another but also supported each other.

Speaking on Busted Open, Reid recalled how Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile helped guide her during her early days in NXT. She said experienced wrestlers would keep an eye on newer talent and make sure they understood what was expected of them.

Reid believes that this type of mentorship created a stronger sense of unity inside the NXT locker room.

“There’s a Lot of Ego” on the Main Roster

According to Reid, the atmosphere becomes different after moving to the WWE main roster. She pointed to the increased money, bigger personalities and greater star power as factors that can contribute to more individual egos.

She explained that people on the main roster may have different opinions about how things should be handled, while the sense of collective responsibility she experienced in NXT can be harder to find.

Reid also suggested that WWE could benefit from having more established locker room figures who help younger wrestlers adapt and maintain professional standards.

Reid Wants More Locker Room Leadership

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion said she would like to see more people taking responsibility for maintaining order backstage. She recalled being corrected by Zoey Stark when she was using her phone during a show.

For Reid, moments like that helped younger performers understand the importance of staying focused and respecting the locker room environment.

She also suggested that experienced wrestlers could help ensure that newer members remain engaged throughout shows and understand the expectations of working on WWE’s main roster.

Lainey Reid Regrets Not Finishing the Job Against Chelsea Green

Reid also discussed her recent storyline involving Chelsea Green. She admitted that her biggest regret was not completely finishing the job against her rival.

Reid was involved in the incident that resulted in Green suffering a broken orbital bone. The injury led to Nick Aldis giving Green a 30-day period to receive medical clearance and defend her Interim Women’s Championship.

Reflecting on the situation, Reid said her only remorse was that Green still had an opportunity to return and compete for the championship.

Fatal Influence Holds Multiple WWE Championships

Reid and Fallon Henley are currently the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, while Fatal Influence leader Jacy Jayne has captured the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

The success of Fatal Influence has made the faction an important part of WWE’s women’s division, with its members holding multiple championship titles across the roster.
