Stefon Diggs Faces Renewed Dispute With Christopher Blake Griffith After Commanders Signing

Stefon Diggs is facing renewed attention surrounding his ongoing legal dispute with social media influencer Christopher Blake Griffith after the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver agreed to join the Washington Commanders.

Shortly after news of Diggs’ signing emerged, Griffith posted pictures and videos featuring himself and the Commanders wide receiver on Instagram alongside a cryptic message that appeared to reference their long-running dispute.

“Tell lies bout me and I’ll tell truths bout you… It’s been my destiny since a child,” Griffith wrote in the caption.

Griffith’s Allegations Against Stefon Diggs

The dispute dates back to an alleged incident in May 2023. According to Griffith’s claims, he and Diggs attended a charity basketball event in Washington, D.C., before returning to Diggs’ residence in Rockville, Maryland.

Griffith later filed a complaint against Diggs alleging sexual battery, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He claimed that Diggs drugged him and attempted to sexually assault him after he rejected the wide receiver’s advances.

Griffith also alleged that Diggs’ brother, Darez Diggs, assaulted him in an elevator in Los Angeles in an effort to prevent him from speaking publicly about the matter.

Diggs has denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Griffith, claiming that the accusations were fabricated to increase Griffith’s social media following and damage his reputation.

Legal Dispute Between Diggs and Griffith Continues

The legal battle has continued to develop. In June, a federal judge ordered Diggs to provide a complete account regarding his relationship with Griffith. However, the judge ruled that Diggs did not have to answer questions concerning his alleged prior possession or distribution of controlled substances.

Darez Diggs separately pleaded no contest to felony grand theft connected to the Los Angeles elevator incident. He received two years of probation and community service.

Stefon Diggs Signs With Washington Commanders

The renewed dispute comes as Diggs begins a new chapter in his NFL career. The wide receiver agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $12 million with the Washington Commanders.

Diggs spent the 2025 season with the New England Patriots and remains one of the league’s most recognizable veteran receivers. His move to Washington has generated significant discussion both on and off the field.

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown also appeared to take a shot at Diggs following reports of the Commanders agreement, posting a cryptic message on X referencing the wide receiver’s move to Washington.

With Diggs’ legal dispute with Griffith still ongoing, the Commanders wideout is entering his latest NFL chapter under considerable scrutiny away from the football field.
