Jain steadily established himself as one of Madhya Pradesh’s most dependable all-rounders. He played a crucial role in the state’s historic 2021-22 Ranji Trophy triumph, taking 13 wickets across the knockout stages and scoring an important 57 runs in the final against Mumbai.

His performances improved further during the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season, when he scored 360 runs and claimed 35 wickets. Those outstanding all-round numbers earned him the prestigious Lala Amarnath Award as the tournament’s best all-rounder.

Jain continued his rise by impressing for India A against England Lions in 2024 before delivering another exceptional campaign in the 2025 Duleep Trophy, where he claimed 16 wickets and was named Player of the Series as Central Zone lifted the title.

During the latest Ranji Trophy season, Jain once again showcased his all-round abilities by scoring 518 runs at an average of 57.55 and taking 30 wickets at an average of 20.43. Those performances strengthened his case for national selection.

His biggest statement came during the recent India A tour of Sri Lanka. Playing in Galle against Sri Lanka A, Jain took 4/92 in the first innings, followed with 2/66 in the second innings, and remained unbeaten on 70 with the bat. India A won the match by 10 wickets and sealed the series 1-0, with Jain emerging as one of the standout performers.
