Brie Bella Reveals Scary Medical Emergency After SummerSlam Injury

WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella has revealed details of a frightening incident that occurred after she suffered an injury at SummerSlam, recalling how a food-related reaction left her needing emergency medical attention.

Brie recently returned to WWE and reunited with her sister Nikki Bella as the two began what appeared to be another major chapter in their wrestling careers. However, her latest run was interrupted after she suffered an injury during a match at SummerSlam.

Brie Bella Recalls Frightening Medical Emergency

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie explained that she had ordered a gluten-free meal, but the restaurant instead provided a gluten-friendly meal after a misunderstanding with the waiter.

According to Brie, the situation eventually became serious enough that she required assistance from her husband Bryan Danielson and her nanny before being taken to a local medical facility.

Brie said she briefly blacked out and was unable to properly respond while her children were present. Emergency medical technicians eventually arrived and transported her first in a wheelchair and then on a stretcher.

“I had blacked out and am not responding. My kids are screaming. I was just taking a s**t, and this all goes down. The EMTs come in, and I’m kind of waking up a little bit,” Brie recalled.

She also explained that Danielson warned the medical team about her shoulder injury while they were moving her, as she had suffered a broken scapula during the wrestling match.

Brie Bella Realized What Had Happened in the Ambulance

The former Divas Champion said she only became fully aware of what had happened after being placed inside the ambulance.

Brie recalled waking up and noticing an unpleasant smell before asking the medical staff whether she had soiled herself during the incident.

“I wake up and I’m like, ‘It smells like s**t.’ I looked at them and they look at me. ‘Did I s**t my pants?’ They go, ‘You did, but it’s okay.’”

Brie admitted that the realization immediately snapped her back into awareness, despite the frightening circumstances surrounding the incident.

“I S**T MY PANTS?!?!’ I’m apologizing. I could feel it. That woke me right the F up,” she said.

Brie Bella Suffered a Broken Scapula at SummerSlam

The medical emergency came shortly after Brie suffered a serious injury during her SummerSlam match. The WWE veteran was later revealed to have fractured her scapula.

Brie had returned to WWE earlier in the year and reunited with Nikki Bella. Following Nikki’s injury, Brie joined forces with Paige and captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42.
