The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, was last seen in WWE in 2025 when he played a major role in John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber against Cody Rhodes. Although fans expected the storyline to develop further, The Rock did not make any additional appearances.

Despite his busy Hollywood schedule and numerous business commitments, a return to WWE remains possible. The People’s Champion has continued to maintain strong ties with the company, and his previous storyline with Rhodes could eventually be revisited.

Diamond Dallas Page believes The Rock could face Cody Rhodes

Former WCW Champion Diamond Dallas Page recently addressed the possibility of The Rock and Cody Rhodes eventually facing each other in a WWE match.

Speaking to SunSport, DDP was asked whether the long-teased confrontation between Rhodes and The Rock could finally happen inside a WWE ring. The former WCW star suggested that the rivalry could eventually return because of The Rock’s business instincts.

“The Rock is one of the smartest businessmen in the world. He’s worth close to a billion dollars. Yeah, I think it’ll eventually see something come back around that,” DDP said.

The comments have added fuel to speculation that WWE could eventually revisit the storyline between the two stars.

The Rock and Cody Rhodes have a complicated WWE history

Cody Rhodes first crossed paths with The Rock during his rivalry with Roman Reigns in the build-up to WrestleMania XL. The storyline quickly became one of the biggest attractions surrounding WWE’s flagship event.
