Evin Lewis grabbed attention during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with a spectacular six that sailed completely out of the stadium during Antigua Barbuda Falcons’ chase against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

The Falcons faced a challenging 188-run target and endured a difficult start to their chase. Amir Jangoo was dismissed for just two runs in the opening over, while the team managed only eight runs from the first two overs.

Lewis then decided to take on left-arm spinner Waqar Salamkheil during the final over of the powerplay. The bowler delivered a short ball, allowing the left-handed batter to unleash a powerful pull shot over the midwicket region.

The shot was struck with tremendous power and travelled well beyond the boundary, sending the ball out of the stadium. The spectacular hit quickly became one of the major talking points of the CPL contest.

Evin Lewis Scores 48 Runs

Lewis played an aggressive knock of 48 runs from 38 balls, hitting five sixes during his stay at the crease. His innings provided the Falcons with valuable momentum during their chase.

However, Lewis could not convert his start into a half-century. Kyle Mayers eventually dismissed him in the 14th over, bringing his entertaining innings to an end.

Lewis Struggles for Consistency in CPL

Despite producing another eye-catching performance, Lewis has struggled to maintain consistency in the competition. He also scored 48 runs in the recent match against St Lucia Kings.

However, the left-handed batter failed to reach double figures in his other two outings, highlighting his inconsistent run with the bat in the CPL so far.

The massive six against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots once again showcased Lewis’ ability to clear even the biggest boundaries. His aggressive batting style makes him a dangerous player whenever he finds his rhythm.

Although he was unable to guide the Falcons to a major individual score on this occasion, his 48-run knock and extraordinary six provided another reminder of his reputation as one of the most powerful hitters in T20 cricket.
