Jelena Ostapenko has once again captured attention away from the tennis court after sharing a series of glamorous vacation photos from Mykonos, Greece. The former French Open champion showcased her confidence and style while enjoying some downtime following her latest tournament appearance.
The Latvian star posted several images on social media, posing poolside in a silver-gray bikini and a light brown crochet bucket hat. Ostapenko appeared relaxed and cheerful as she enjoyed the picturesque surroundings of the popular Greek island.
Accompanying the photos, the 2017 French Open champion wrote a simple caption:
“Until next time Mykonos.”
The post quickly attracted attention from fans, many of whom praised Ostapenko’s confidence, elegance, and vacation style. Supporters flooded the comments section with compliments, with several calling her a “diva” and applauding her ability to enjoy life away from the pressures of professional tennis.
Ostapenko reflects on the challenges after her French Open breakthrough
The vacation comes shortly after Ostapenko’s disappointing second-round exit at the 2026 French Open. She was defeated by Magda Linette in a three-set encounter despite mounting a comeback in the second set.
Although Ostapenko remains one of the most recognizable names in women’s tennis, she recently admitted that dealing with the aftermath of winning a Grand Slam title at such a young age was far more difficult than she expected.
Speaking about her career-changing triumph at Roland Garros in 2017, the Latvian explained that the sudden rise in expectations created immense pressure both on and off the court.
“I feel like it took me a long time to adapt because everything changed. I think if I had won a Grand Slam a few years later, I would have handled it much better. My whole life changed and the expectations became much higher.”
Ostapenko acknowledged that the increased attention brought positive moments but also made maintaining consistency far more challenging. The pressure to deliver results in every tournament became a significant part of her journey after becoming a Grand Slam champion at a young age.
Despite the recent setback in Paris, the 29-year-old remains focused on the next phase of her season. She is expected to begin her grass-court campaign at the Eastbourne Open later this month as she prepares for Wimbledon.
For now, however, Ostapenko appears to be enjoying a well-deserved break, making the most of her time in Mykonos before returning to competition.
