Ravindra Jadeja Mimics Kuldeep Yadav in Front of Gautam Gambhir, Video Goes Viral

Ravindra Jadeja provided a hilarious moment during Day 2 of India’s three-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka Cricket XI, perfectly mimicking teammate Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling action in front of head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Jadeja, who has returned to India’s red-ball setup after missing the standalone Test against Afghanistan in June, is expected to play a key role in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Jadeja’s Kuldeep Yadav impression leaves Gambhir laughing

Jadeja batted at No. 4 in the absence of captain Shubman Gill and produced a fluent unbeaten half-century before retiring out to give his teammates valuable time in the middle.

After leaving the field, Jadeja was seen speaking with Gambhir near the boundary. During the interaction, the veteran all-rounder suddenly imitated Kuldeep Yadav’s distinctive bowling action.

The impersonation was so accurate and unexpected that Gambhir, usually known for his serious demeanor, could not hold back his laughter. The lighthearted exchange quickly caught the attention of fans after the video surfaced online.

Kuldeep Yadav contributes with ball in warm-up

Kuldeep is part of India’s red-ball squad for the Sri Lanka tour and featured in the warm-up game at Colombo’s Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground.

The wrist-spinner came in at No. 8 on Day 2 and scored one run from 15 deliveries before retiring out. His bigger contribution came with the ball on the opening day, when he returned figures of 2/76 from 18 overs.

Kuldeep faces competition for Test spot

Despite being included in the squad, Kuldeep is not guaranteed a place in India’s playing XI for the first Test in Galle. He faces competition from young left-arm spinner Manav Suthar for the second-spinner role.

Suthar has impressed since making his Test debut against Afghanistan in June, taking six wickets in the first innings. He also claimed 2/33 in 13 overs on Day 1 of the warm-up match before scoring a patient 41 from 90 balls on Day 2.

With both Kuldeep and Suthar pushing for selection, India’s spin combination could become one of the key talking points ahead of the first Test, which begins in Galle on August 15.
