The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the List of Candidates (LOC) correction window for the 2026-27 academic session for students appearing in the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in 2027. Affiliated schools can access the correction facility through the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
According to the board’s latest circular, schools must complete all corrections by November 7. CBSE has instructed affiliated institutions to carefully verify students’ details and rectify any discrepancies before the deadline. No further opportunity to make changes will be provided once the correction window closes.
Who Can Access the CBSE LOC Correction Window?
The LOC correction facility is available only to authorised officials of CBSE-affiliated schools. Students and parents cannot directly edit or update information through the CBSE portal.
If students or parents identify errors in the submitted details, they must contact their respective school administrations and request the necessary corrections before November 7.
Details Schools Must Verify
CBSE has directed schools to check the information submitted in the List of Candidates for students appearing in the 2027 board examinations. Parents have also been advised to carefully review their children’s details.
The information that needs to be verified includes:
- Student’s full name
- Date of birth
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Subject choices
- Passport details, wherever applicable
The board has specifically instructed schools to ensure that students’ names are entered in their expanded form rather than using abbreviations or short forms.
CBSE Advises Parents to Include Students’ Surnames
CBSE has asked parents to ensure that their children’s names are recorded correctly, including their surnames. The instruction is particularly relevant for students who may plan to pursue higher education abroad, where consistency in official documents can be important.
The date of birth entered in the LOC must match the student’s official records. Parents and schools have also been asked to verify passport information wherever applicable.
Last Date for CBSE LOC Corrections: November 7
The deadline for making corrections to the submitted List of Candidates for the 2026-27 academic session is November 7. Schools must complete the verification and correction process within the prescribed timeline.
CBSE has clarified that no additional correction facility will be provided after the window closes. Students and parents should therefore contact their schools immediately if they notice incorrect or missing information in the submitted details.
CBSE Class 10 and 12 Date Sheet 2027 Expected Soon
CBSE is also expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 board examination date sheet for 2027 on its official website. Students preparing for the examinations should regularly check cbse.gov.in for updates and announcements from the board.
Completing the LOC verification process before the November 7 deadline is important because the submitted information will be used for students appearing in the 2027 CBSE board examinations.
