Shah Rukh Khan’s King Song With Deepika to Drop at Midnight

Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday is set to bring an unexpected musical treat for his fans. A new song from his upcoming film King, featuring Deepika Padukone alongside the superstar, is scheduled to release at midnight as a special birthday surprise.

According to an exclusive report by IndiaToday.in, the makers have planned the launch without releasing a teaser, poster or promotional clip beforehand. The decision to keep the song completely under wraps has created curiosity among fans, who are waiting to discover what the team has prepared for the occasion.

The surprise release is particularly exciting because it brings Shah Rukh and Deepika together again. The actors have shared screen space in several popular films, and their on-screen pairing continues to attract considerable attention. Their appearance in King has already generated interest, and the new song could offer another glimpse of their chemistry.

With the midnight launch approaching, questions about the song’s music, visuals and place in the film’s story remain unanswered. The makers have not officially revealed whether it is a romantic track, a celebratory number or an important musical sequence connected to the film’s narrative.

Ed Sheeran to compose and sing Shah Rukh Khan’s King song?

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the upcoming release is speculation about international singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. Reports and online discussions have suggested that he may have composed and sung the track featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers about Sheeran’s involvement. His name has generated excitement, but his contribution should be treated as speculation until the film’s team or the song’s official credits confirm it.

If the reports turn out to be accurate, the collaboration could give the film’s soundtrack an international dimension. Sheeran is known for his pop compositions and melodic songwriting, while Shah Rukh Khan’s films have traditionally used music to build emotional connections with audiences.

For now, fans will have to wait for the official release to learn who has composed and performed the song. The makers’ decision to avoid advance promotion has ensured that the musical reveal remains a mystery.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s viral South Africa beach shoot

The announcement has also revived interest in visuals that surfaced during King’s South Africa shooting schedule in May 2026. At the time, a video circulating on social media appeared to show Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone filming a romantic sequence near a beach at Camps Bay.

The footage showed the actors against a sunset backdrop. Deepika was seen wearing a white dress, while Shah Rukh appeared in a striped shirt paired with black trousers. The picturesque location and the apparent romantic setting quickly attracted attention from fans.

The video led to speculation that the actors were shooting a song sequence for the film. Their appearance together also fuelled discussions about whether King would feature a romantic track showcasing their familiar on-screen chemistry.

However, it remains unclear whether the viral South Africa footage is connected to the song scheduled for release at midnight. The makers have not confirmed that the beach sequence forms part of the upcoming track.

The visuals nevertheless gave fans an early glimpse of the film’s production and added to the anticipation surrounding Shah Rukh and Deepika’s scenes together.
