The defending champions finished the group stage unbeaten, winning all their matches and showing strong form throughout the tournament. Their batting depth and experienced bowling attack make them one of the strongest contenders for the title.
South Africa qualify after India’s elimination
South Africa secured their place in the last four after Australia’s victory over India. They had earlier defeated Bangladesh and were waiting for the result of the crucial India-Australia clash.
India needed a win to qualify but Australia successfully chased down 171 at Lord’s, knocking Harmanpreet Kaur’s team out of the tournament.
England and West Indies complete semi-final lineup
Group 2 was decided earlier, with England finishing at the top after winning all five group matches. They continued their dominant run by defeating defending champions New Zealand in the final group fixture.
West Indies secured the second semi-final place from Group 2 despite a shock defeat against Ireland. Their superior net run rate helped them move ahead in the qualification race.
