Zimbabwe vs South Africa T20I: Eathan Bosch Debuts as Zimbabwe Bat First

South Africa have made changes to their playing XI after their disappointing opening-match result. Lutho Sipamla is unavailable after suffering a left hamstring injury while bowling during the previous game.

Nqobani Mokoena has also been left out, while left-arm seamer Kwena Maphaka comes into the XI for his first appearance of the series.

The batting order remains largely unchanged, although Dewald Brevis has been moved up to No. 3 after being listed at No. 5 in the previous match.

Zimbabwe are entering the competition for the first time and have selected their strongest available XI. Brian Bennett and Ben Curran are set to open the innings, with experienced captain Sikandar Raza providing leadership in the middle order.

Legspinner Graeme Cremer returns to the Zimbabwe side after recovering from an arm injury sustained during the T20 World Cup. His return adds experience and another spin option to Zimbabwe’s bowling attack.

Richard Ngarava remains unavailable because of a back injury. His absence means Newman Nyamhuri and Brad Evans join Blessing Muzarabani as Zimbabwe’s seam-bowling options.

Viewers in South Africa are again facing limited television coverage of the tri-series. SuperSport is not broadcasting the second match after technical problems disrupted coverage during the opening game.

The broadcaster cited “major technical issues” for the decision. Although the match is available through other streaming services, several of those platforms are reportedly inaccessible to viewers in South Africa.
