The deceased woman has been identified as Sudesh, WHO worked as an Anganwadi worker. Her two children were also found dead at the residence. Police have said their preliminary investigation indicates that Sudesh may have given her children poisoned milk before drowning them in the household tank and then consuming poison herself before entering the tank. Brother alleges marital harassment and mental distress

Sudesh’s brother Praveen has alleged that she had been under severe mental distress because of her husband’s alleged drug addiction and harassment.

Based on his complaint, police registered a case against Sandeep Machra under Sections 103(1) and 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
